This unusual aquatic plant has small leaf stalks with 3-4 tiny leaves on top, resembling a small four-leaf clover, and spreads horizontally by runners below the substrate. It is a good plant for obtaining a green, dense carpet effect in the foreground area of your tank.

This is a very easy-to-care-for plant, but it does not require CO2 supplementation. Higher light intensity leads to shorter and denser growth, bettering the clover's carpeting effect. When you first get this plant, you may notice the larger leaves browning; this is normal as these are older leaves that will die back as the new, shorter leaves grow in their place.
