In this DIY kit, you arrange the soil and rocks in the terrarium, then plant a moss ball with specially curated plants and place it inside. Spray with water, and provide light and you will have a beautiful, easy-to-care-for terrarium.
By first planting a ball, you can create dense plant growth with multiple varieties in a small space. A wild look is VERY easy. Another advantage is you can easily change the container, if you’d like to upgrade to a different type or size, just move your wabi kusa ball to the new container. No need to start over and replant! Planting the ball is easy, planting directions are provided, and you can always message me with any questions.
The wabi moss ball was handmade by me using my specialty soil recipe. I use it regularly.
Creating the aquarium is easy! First, plant the wabi kusa ball with aquarium/terrarium plants of your choice or those in the included plant pack. Place the soil and rocks in the terrarium, position the planted wabi ball inside the terrarium, spray thoroughly with water, and provide with 8-10 hours of light. In a couple of weeks, you’ll have a beautiful ecosystem with lush plant growth that will also evolve with time.
You can also add springtails to make your terrarium bioactive.
Look for species with small leaves and do not grow too tall. If you’re feeling intimidated by plant choice- just message me and I can help you! -
